My *new* favorite art markers
All my life I've been a Copic fan. I remember saving up to buy my first bunch of Copic markers. They're excellent markers and I still have them to this day! They haven't dried up and they're definitely over 10 years old, which is pretty amazing!
But recently, I was contacted by the folks at Ohuhu to see if I wanted to try out their markers and share what I thought of them. And I'm not being paid to say any of this, but wow. They are amazing markers. I'm a BIG FAN!
I'm loving these markers. They sent me their Sweetness and Blossoming set and I think they're so beautiful!
To keep this short and sweet, I'm loving these markers because they are super affordable, so smooth and easy to blend, and they offer great color variety too!
When I tried them with the HP Premium Choice paper, they worked like a dream! I really couldn't believe how totally effortless and easy they were to work with.
I do have experience with alcohol markers, but it's been a minute since I'd used them. But these were easy! There was no relearning the medium. I was able to jump back in.
So if you've been on the fence about purchasing Ohuhu markers, hop off that fence. Because these markers are amazing!
A couple things I don't know, I will say: I don't know if 10 years from now these markers will still work. Copics do! We'll see on these. And I also don't know about the lightfastness of the Ohuhu markers and if they stand the test of time. I don't keep my marker drawings in bright light (I tend to store them away) so this isn't really an issue for me. But if you like to frame your drawings and put them on a wall, you might want to make sure it's out of the bright light of the sun to prevent fading in the long run.
If you want to see what I've been making with these markers, check out some of the character sketches on my instagram! And If you purchase these, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
Affiliate links have been used in this post, meaning if you purchase through my link I make a small commission. But I'd still be sharing these markers anyway, because they're that good! :))
